40 Rabbana

رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا١ؕ اِنَّـكَ اَنْتَ السَّمِیْعُ الْعَلِیْـمُ۝۱۲۷(2:127)

******

رَبَّنَاوَ اجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَیْنِ لَكَ وَ مِنْ ذُرِّیَّتِنَاۤ اُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ١وَ اَرِنَا مَنَاسِكَنَا وَ تُبْ عَلَیْنَا١ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِیْمُ۝۱۲۸

(2:128)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اٰتِنَـا فِی الدُّنْیَـا حَسَنَـةً وَّ فِی الْاٰخِـرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَّ قِنَا عَـذَابَ النَّارِ۝۲۰۱(2:201)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اَفْـرِغْ عَلَیْنَا صَبْرًا وَّ ثَبِّتْ اَقْدَامَنَا وَ انْصُرْنَا عَـلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكٰفِرِیْنَؕ۝۲۵۰(2:250)

******

رَبَّنَا لَاتُؤَاخِذْنَاۤ اِنْ نَّسِیْنَاۤ اَوْ اَخْطَاْنَا(2:286)

******

رَبَّنَا وَ لَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَیْنَاۤ اِصْرًا كَمَا حَـمَـلْتَهٗ عَـلَى الَّـذِیْنَ مِـنْ قَـبْلِنَـا١(2:286)

******

رَبَّنَا وَ لَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهٖ١ۚ وَ اعْفُ عَنَّا١وقفہوَاغْفِرْلَنَاوقفہ وَارْحَمْنَـاوقفہاَنْتَمَوْلٰىنَافَـانْصُـرْنَاعَـلَىالْقَوْمِالْكٰفِرِیْنَ۠۝۲۸۶(2:286)

******

رَبَّنَا  لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوْبَنَا بَعْدَ اِذْ هَدَیْتَنَا وَ هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً١اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ۝۸(3:8)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِیَوْمٍ لَّا رَیْبَ فِیْهِ١ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا یُخْلِفُ الْمِیْعَادَ۠۝۹(3:9)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَا وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِۚ۝۱۶

(3:16)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّـا بِمَـاۤ اَنْزَلْتَ وَ اتَّبَعْنَـا الـرَّسُوْلَ فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشّٰهِدِیْنَ۝۵۳(3: 53)

رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَـا وَ اِسْرَافَنَا فِیْۤ اَمْرِنَا وَ ثَبِّتْ اَقْـدَامَنَـا وَ انْصُـرْنَا عَـلَى الْقَـوْمِ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ۝۱۴۷(3:147)

******

رَبَّنَامَــا خَـلَـقْتَ هٰــذَا بَاطِـلًا١سُبْحٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ۝۱۹۱(3:191)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ مَنْ تُدْخِلِ النَّارَ فَقَدْ اَخْزَیْتَهٗ١ؕ وَ مَا لِلظّٰلِمِیْنَ مِنْ اَنْصَارٍ۝۱۹۲(3:192)

******

رَبَّنَاۤاِنَّنَاسَمِعْنَا مُنَادِیًا یُّنَادِیْ لِلْاِیْمَانِ اَنْ اٰمِنُوْابِرَبِّكُمْفَاٰمَنَّا(3:193)

******

رَبَّنَا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوْبَنَا وَ كَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَیِّـاٰتِنَـا وَ تَوَفَّنَـا مَـعَ الْاَبْــرَارِۚ۝۱۹۳(3:193)

******

رَبَّنَاوَ اٰتِنَا مَا وَعَدْتَّنَا عَلٰى رُسُلِكَ وَ لَا تُخْزِنَا یَوْمَ الْقِیٰمَةِ١اِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ الْمِیْعَـادَ۝۱۹۴(3:194)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشّٰهِدِیْنَ۝۸۳(5:83)

******

رَبَّنَاۤاَنْزِلْ عَلَیْنَـا مَــآىِٕدَةً مِّـنَ السَّمَآءِ تَكُوْنُ لَنَا عِیْدًا لِّاَوَّلِنَا وَ اٰخِرِنَا وَ اٰیَةً مِّنْـكَ١ۚ وَ ارْزُقْنَـا وَ اَنْتَ خَــیْرُ الــرّٰزِقِیْنَ۝۱۱۴(5:114)

******

رَبَّنَا  ظَلَمْنَاۤ اَنْفُسَنَا١ وَاِنْلَّمْتَغْفِرْلَنَاوَتَرْحَمْنَالَنَكُوْنَنَّمِنَالْخٰسِرِیْنَ۝۲۳(7:23)

******

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْـعَـلْنَـا مَـعَ الْـقَوْمِ الظّٰلِمِیْنَ۠۝۴۷(7:47)

******

رَبَّنَا افْتَـحْ بَیْنَنَا وَ بَـیْنَ قَوْمِنَـا بِالْحَـقِّ وَ اَنْتَ خَـیْرُ الْفٰتِحِیْنَ۝۸۹(7:89)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اَفْرِغْ عَلَیْنَا صَبْرًا وَّ تَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِیْنَ۠۝۱۲۶(7:126)

******

رَبَّنَالَا تَجْـعَلْنَـا فِتْنَـةً لِّلْقَـوْمِ الظّٰلِمِیْنَۙ۝۸۵وَ نَجِّنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْكٰفِرِیْنَ۝۸۶(10:85-86)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ  اِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِیْ وَ مَا نُعْلِنُ١ؕ وَ مَا یَخْفٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ مِنْ شَیْءٍ فِی الْاَرْضِ وَ لَا فِی السَّمَآءِ۝۳۸(14:38)

******

رَبَّنَاوَ تَقَبَّلْ دُعَآءِ۝۴۰(14:40)

******

رَبَّنَا اغْـفِـرْ لِیْ وَ لِـوَالِـدَیَّ وَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ یَوْمَ یَقُوْمُ الْحِسَابُ۠۝۴۱(14:41)

******

رَبَّنَاۤاٰتِنَا مِنْ لَّدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً وَّ هَیِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ اَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا۝۱۰(18:10)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ  اِنَّنَا نَخَـافُ اَنْ یَّفْـرُطَ عَلَیْنَـاۤ اَوْ اَنْ یَّطْغٰى۝۴۵(20:45)

******

رَبُّنَا الَّـذِیْۤ اَعْطٰى كُلَّ شَیْءٍ خَلْقَـهٗ ثُـمَّ هَـدٰى۝۵۰(20:50)

******

رَبَّنَاۤ اٰمَنَّا فَاغْـفِـرْ لَـنَـا وَ ارْحَمْنَا وَ اَنْتَ خَیْرُ الرّٰحِمِیْنَۚۖ۝۱۰۹(23:109)

******

رَبَّنَا اصْـرِفْ عَنَّـا عَـذَابَ جَهَنَّـمَ١اِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًاۗۖ۝۶۵اِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَّمُقَامًا۝۶۶(25:65-66)

******

رَبَّنَا  هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ اَزْوَاجِنَا وَ ذُرِّیّٰتِنَـا قُـرَّةَ اَعْیُنٍ وَّ اجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِیْنَ اِمَامًا۝۷۴(25:74)

******

رَبَّنَا لَغَفُوْرٌ شَكُوْرُۙ۝۳۴(35:34)

******

رَبَّنَا  وَسِعْتَ كُلَّ شَیْءٍ رَّحْمَةً وَّ عِلْمًا فَاغْفِرْ لِلَّذِیْنَ تَابُوْا وَاتَّبَعُوْا سَبِیْلَكَ وَ قِهِمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِیْمِ۝۷(40:7)

******

رَبَّنَا  وَ اَدْخِلْهُمْ جَنّٰتِ عَـدْنِ ۟اِلَّتِیْ وَعَدْتَّهُمْ وَ مَـنْ صَـلَحَ مِـنْ اٰبَآىِٕهِـمْ وَ اَزْوَاجِهِـمْ وَ ذُرِّیّٰتِهِمْ١ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُۙ۝۸وَ قِهِمُ السَّیِّاٰتِ١ وَ مَنْ تَقِ السَّیِّاٰتِ یَوْمَىِٕذٍ فَقَـدْ رَحِـمْـتَــهٗ١طوَ ذٰلِـكَ هُــوَ الْفَـوْزُ الْعَظِیْمُ۠۝۹(40:8-9)

رَبَّنَا اغْفِـرْ لَنَا وَ لِاِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِیْنَ سَبَقُوْنَا بِالْاِیْمَانِ وَ لَا تَجْعَلْ فِیْ قُلُوْبِنَا غِـلًّا لِّلَّـذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ رَءُوْفٌ رَّحِیْمٌ۠۝۱۰(59:10)

رَبَّنَاعَـلَیْكَ تَوَكَّلْـنَا وَ اِلَیْـكَ اَنَبْنَا وَ اِلَیْـكَ الْمَصِیْرُ۝۴

(60:4)

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِّلَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَ اغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِیْزُ الْحَكِیْمُ۝۵(60:5)

رَبَّنَاۤاَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُوْرَنَا وَ اغْفِرْلَنَااِنَّكَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ۝۸

(60:8)

Translation of 40 Rabbana

1. 1.‘O our Lord, accept this (humble service) from us. You are, indeed, All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Al-Baqarah,2:127)
2. 2. O our Lord! Make both of us submissive to Your command; and raise out of our future generations an Umma (Community) exclusively obedient to You; and teach us our ways of worship (and Pilgrimage) and turn to us (with mercy and forgiveness). Verily, it is You Who are Most Relenting, Ever-Merciful. (Al-Baqarah,2:128)
3. 3. ‘O our Lord, grant us excellence in this world, and excellence in the Hereafter (as well), and save us from the torment of Hell.’ (Al-Baqarah,2:201)
4. 4. ‘O our Lord, grant us plentiful patience and make our steps firm and give us victory over the disbelievers.’(Al-Baqarah,2:250)
5. 5. ‘O our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or do some mistake.(Al-Baqarah,2:286)
6. 6. O our Lord, lay not on us such a (heavy) burden as You laid on those before us. (Al-Baqarah,2:286)
7. 7. O our Lord, put not on us (also) the burden that we have not the strength to bear, and overlook (our sins), and forgive us and have mercy on us. You alone are our Master and Helper. So grant us victory over the disbelievers.’(Al-Baqarah,2:286)
8. 8. ‘O our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have honoured us with guidance, and grant us mercy especially from Your presence. Truly, You alone are the Great Bestower. (Aale Imran,3:8)
9. 9. O our Lord! You will surely bring together mankind on the Day about which there is no doubt. Verily, Allah does not go against (His) promise.’ (Aale Imran,3:9)
10. 10. ‘O our Lord, we have surely believed, so, forgive us our sins and save us from the torment of Hell.’ (Aale Imran,3:16)
11. 11. O our Lord! We have believed in the Book which You have sent down, and we have become the followers of this Messenger. So register us amongst those who bear witness (to the truth).’ (Aale Imran,3:53)
12. 12. ‘O our Lord, forgive our sins and overlook the excesses that we committed in our work, and keep us firm-footed (on Your path), and bestow upon us victory over the disbelievers.’ (Aale Imran,3:147)
13. 13. ‘O our Lord, You have not created (all) this without any rationale and strategy. You are (impeccably) Pure (of all shortcomings and obligations). So protect us from the torment of Hell.(Aale Imran,3:191)
14. 14. O our Lord! Indeed, whomever You admit to Hell, You have surely humiliated him, and the wrongdoers do not have any supporters. (Aale Imran,3:192)
15. 15. O our Lord! we heard a Caller, calling towards faith: ‘(O people,) believe in your Lord.’ So we embraced faith. (Aale Imran,3:193)
16. 16. O our Lord, now forgive our sins and erase our blunders (from the record of our works) and make us die in the company of the pious. (Aale Imran,3:193)
17. 17. O our Lord! Grant us all that You have promised us through Your Messengers, and do not humiliate us on the Day of Resurrection. Surely, You do not go against Your promise.’ (Aale Imran,3:194)
18. 18. ‘O our Lord! We have believed (in the Truth which You have revealed), so inscribe us (also) amongst those who bear witness (to the truth). (Al-Maaidah,5:83)
19. 19.  ‘O Allah, our Lord, send down to us from heaven the table spread (with bounties) so that (the day of its descent) becomes (Eid) a festival day for us, and for our predecessors (as well as) successors, and that (spread table) comes as a sign from You, and provide us with sustenance, and You are the Best Sustainer.’ (Al-Maaidah,5:114)
20. 20. ‘O our Lord! We have wronged our souls. And if You do not forgive us and have mercy on us, we shall certainly be amongst the losers.’ (Al-Aaraf,7:23)
21. 21. ‘O our Lord, (join) us not (together) with the unjust people.’(Al-Aaraf,7:47)
22. 22. O our Lord, judge between us and our (hostile) people with truth, and You are the Best of judges.’(Al-Aaraf,7:89)
23. 23.  O our Lord! Gush on us torrents of patience and lift us (from the world) as (steadfast) Muslims.’ (Al-Aaraf,7:126)
24. 24. O our Lord, make us not victims of the oppressors’ injustice. And deliver us with Your mercy from (the dominance of) the disbelieving people.’ (Yunus,10:85-86)
25. 25. O our Lord! Surely, You know (all) what we hide and what we show, and there is nothing which is hidden from Allah either on earth or in the heaven. (Ibraahim, 14:38)
26. 26. O our Lord, and grant my prayer. (Ibraahim, 14:40)
27. 27. O our Lord! Forgive me and (forgive) my parents and all the believers as well on the Day when reckoning (and accountability) will be held.’ (Ibraahim, 14:41)
28. 28. ‘O our Lord, bestow upon us mercy from Your presence and provide (means of) guidance in our affair.’ (Kahf, 18:10)
29. 29. O our Lord, we fear lest he should commit some excess against us, or become (more) rebellious.’ (Taha, 20:45)
30. 30. ‘Our Lord is He Who brought everything into being (as most suitable), then guided it (according to its potential).’ (Taha, 20:50)
31. 31. O our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy on us. And (surely) You are the Best of the merciful. (Muminoon, 23:109)
32. 32. ‘O our Lord, turn away from us the torment of Hell. Surely, its torment is most injurious (and everlasting). Surely, that is an evil lodging (for temporary lodgers) and an evil abode (for permanent dwellers).’(Furqan, 25:65-66)
33. 33. ‘O our Lord, grant us the coolness of eyes in our wives and our children, and make us leaders of the Godfearing people.’(Furqaan, 25:74)
34. 34. Our Lord is Most Forgiving, Most Appreciative of gratitude. (Faatir, 35:34)
35. 35. ‘O our Lord, You encompass everything in (Your) mercy and knowledge. So forgive those who turn to You in repentance and follow Your path and protect them from the torment of Hell.(Ghaafir, 40:7)
36. 36. O our Lord! And admit them to the Gardens of Eden You have promised them. And (also admit with them) the pious ones of their fathers and their wives and their children. Surely, You are Almighty, Most Wise. And save them from (the punishment of) sins. And the one You have saved from (the punishment of) sins that Day, You have indeed shown him great mercy. And that is great success indeed.’ (Ghaafir, 40:8-9)
37. 37.‘O our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who have preceded us in embracing faith. And let not any spite and rancour be in our hearts against the believers. O our Lord, surely, You are Most Clement, Ever-Merciful.’(Hashr, 59:10)
38. 38.‘O our Lord, we put our trust in You alone, and we turn in repentance to You alone, and (all) have to return to You alone.(Mumtahinah, 60:4)
39. 39.O our Lord! Make us not a source of trial for the disbelievers (i.e., give them not control over us) and forgive us. O our Lord, surely You alone are the Almighty, the Lord of Honour, the Most Wise.’(Mumtahinah, 60:5)
40. 40. ‘O our Lord, perfect our light for us and forgive us. Surely, You have absolute power over everything.’(Tahreem, 66:8)
